Looking to stay in Cape Hatteras area mid Sept.
This cg is about 1/2 price of competing cg's. in the area. Can you recommend it? Otherwise it's 2x the price at Camp Hatteras or Hatteras KOA Thanks !

Yor're right. But it's small and very unlikely that you'll get a reservation unless you're making one for after Labor Day. I've never camped there but I have heard from others that it's clean and inexpensive relative to the other campgrounds nearby.

Oops, sorry, I missed the mid-September so I guess your chances will be much better at getting a reservation.

Hi,

Just got back from Hatteras. We ended up down the road at Frisco - Frisco Woods CG. Not the 'greatest' place, but the soundside sites were literally 30' from the sound and the constant breeze kept down the bugs!

We stopped by Ocean Waves to take a look. It is a nice, neat campground. All sites have pads, At the 'end' of the campground is direct beach access. They have a campstore and a small pool. All in all a nice place; it doesn't have the flash and activities of a KOA, but sometimes thats a good thing.

Have a good trip!

Todd

JoDann,
I have stayed there many times and will always go back there. It is a nice clean campground and the owners are super people that live right there. It is so close to the beach you can walk there.
We have stayed at sites in the middle which were concrete pads and were nice. if you stay near the beach the noise from the ocean may keep you awake.
Enjoy and you will like it for sure.

Thank you all for your input. I will call tom'w. to reserve a site. Am very flexible as to when we'll be going so hopefully will not run into problems securing reservations. Thanks again !! jodann
