Ohio has some really nice CG's but you would need to be a little more specific of the route your are taking. Our Amish community just west of Canton is the largest in the country and has several nice CG's (just for starters).

Just east of Toledo is Maumee State Park. We really enjoyed it. Sites have growth between them to afford a little privacy.

I don't know anything about the area but it looks like the route will take us I-76 OH Tpk to I-80 West on I-80 I-90.

West Branch State Park is one of the top rated State Parks in Ohio and is on I-76 between Akron and Youngstown. I have never stayed there but a co-worker that works with me stayed there a couple of times and said it's really nice.

Along your proposed route, ditto the suggestion on West Branch. It's very popular so summer weekends are full up, especially the fhu's. See my photos & my review.
Maumee Bay SP is also very nice. See my photos & my review.
Over towards the west side off the turnpike, I'd suggest Sauder Village Campground. See my photos & my review.
You can't go wrong with any of these.

Shoot, I just noticed the OP made that post yesterday. So I'm a day late & a dollar short. Hope they found a good site.
