Maumee Bay State Park, just East of Toledo in Oregon, Ohio is one of the finest state parks in the nation. I agree with all of the other suggetions, but you really need to try this great campground. This is on Lake Erie with many bicycle paths. It is near the city, but the campground is very remote.

Next year we might be doing a trip to Michigan, with a few days at Maumee Bay SP. for a look-see. Can you give any site #'s that are nice. We like a site with shade, level pad and electric. Doing a quick search of sites for the June 19th weekend I see that they are just about all filled up. So it seems that is a popular park. I myself keep a database of sites at about 10-or 12 state parks in Ohio & PA. thanx jim....
