Old steam tractors in Pa.

Anyone that is interested in working steam tractors and engines should check out this site and schedule of events. It's a great time if you like old things that make you feel young. We go every year to watch the demostrations and the Pa. Dutch food is second to none. I posted this now because local campsites get booked really early. We already have reservations for the August event. There are a lot of other great things to do in the Lancaster area so you could eaisly keep busy for a week.

If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of Forest City, Iowa the home of Winnebago Industries, there is a very interesting museum and operating saw mill using antique (steam ??) machines right off of the main street across the enterance from the plant.

It was indeed quite interesting to see how preceeding generations had all of this stuff figured out.

Rough and Tumble have a steam powered operating saw mill also.
I really enjoy watching the old steam engines operating.
