On the way to the Rally off I80

Hello campers I'm looking for a few choices on the way to the rally. We would be coming for Illinois on I-80 so looking for someplace in Ohio. Maybe to hangout for a day or two. I know I'm early but I like planning my route not nessary that I'll stick to it.

Thanks Wayne

Well, let's see, depending on how far into the state you're wanting to come before stopping, I'd suggest these campgrounds:

Sauder Village Campground - about half an hour inside the state line. Located adjacent to a cool historic village.
Harrison Lake State Park - also about half an hour inside the state line. Smaller state park, large sites.
Maumee Bay State Park - about 1.25 hours inside the state line. One of the best state parks in the state has a resort lodge w/all ammenities & a nice swimming beach on the Lake Erie shore.

From the above you are then approx. 3-3.5hrs away from the campground.

If you're looking for a CG closer, just post back & we'll give you more options.

All 3 good choices. Sauders has water and electric (with dump station)and 2-3 full hook-up sites. Their facilities are super clean (showers and bathrooms) and you can use their indoor pool in the Heritage Inn.. The State parks are electric only, but are large, beautiful sites.

Baylor Beach campground is only a few miles away. Their full service sites are nice a large, but the W/E sites #'s 1-23 are real tight. Baylor beach there price for full service is $27 a night, which is not bad.

Another would be Whisper Hills about a half hour west of the Rally in Shreve. Whispering Hills They are kind of pricey at $44 for full service. Us IRV2 campers have gone here when they have their buy one get one night free deals in early June.

I thought I had the bases all covered for the rally. Well Dr called me back on my Stress ( I should have studied more ) I guess I get another Angio gram on Friday. I'm hoping they don't want to open the hood. Well at least the wife made it thru her Cancer Op. Wed and doing well .
Hey were still above ground. Looking forward to the RV season and warm weather too.
