Trying to go from Hwy 101 to Interstate 5 around Coos Bay, Oregon - can take either Hwy 38 across or Hwy 42 - any recommendations. We are 43' and towing.

38 is probably in better shape, though neither one should be an issue.
it's about the same number if miles either direction, but 38 will bring you out farther North than 42.
Depends maybe on if you are going North or South, once you hit I-5.

Driven it in my 45' rig towing a Honda Odyssey with no problems.

I live in coos bay and travel 42 all the time , its a nice drive. 38 is also good 1 narrow bridge at Scottsburg ,just depends on if you want to go north or south on I-5
