Oregon coast for Christmas?

Wanting to avoid snowy mountain passes and icy roads coming from Washington, can anyone suggest a destination/campground to spend a few days during the Christmas holidays in Oregon? I'm thinking coastal since we have never seen the Oregon coast, but anywhere in NW Oregon would be great. Really looking for a nice campground and a nice trip in our mh.

Fort Stevens, Nehalem Bay, Cape Lookout, Beverly Beach all are State Parks.

Not on the coast but seven feathers near exit 99 on I-5 is a pretty nice place to spend a few days.

We went down the coast in early April this year and found that many of the commercial CGs were still "closed for the winter". We stayed at Beverley Beach and a SP just north of Brookings whose name eludes me.

The weather was not very good - cold overnight, foggy until noon most days. We've also stayed at Cape Blanco SP and liked it.

Seaside Thousand Trails in Seaside, OR. Indoor pool, activities, close to the beach. If you go there, make sure to plan a trip to Canon Beach and visit the Chocolate Cafe. They have an amazing dark chocolate mayan milkshake. Best I've ever had.

Winchester Bay RV Resort at Salmon Harbor Marina in Winchester Bay, Oregon

Great RV Park on the coast. Don't know how the winter weather is as we have only been in the spring and summer.

Well, we started out at Fort Stevens and loved it... Got some great pictures of the wreck of the Peter Iredale, then went on to spend a few nights at the RV resort at Cannon Beach. This too was a great park and pretty empty, as was the town and the beach at Haystack Rock. We're currently at Sea and Sand RV park within a stone's throw from the ocean at high tide. We watched the sun set over the ocean from our front window and really are just lucky that this entire Christmas week has been sunny and perfectly clear! We'll stay a few nights in Beverly Beach State Park, look for some gray whales, and check out the devil's punchbowl before we head back to Washington. The coast has been unbelievable and this has been our best RV trip to date.

IF you have the opportunity you should visit shore acres state park near Coos Bay Shore Acres State Park - Friends of Shore Acres State Park | Holiday Lights. They have a holiday light display of over 300,000 lights. You can camp at sunset shores state park which is almost next door. The display closes 12/31.
