Organ Pipe Cactus NM weird generator hours

Anyone have an idea why this park limits evening generator hours to 4pm-6pm? We usually see something like 7pm-9pm. The morning hours are 8am-10am.

Having stayed there; I believe they have nature talks in the evening and don't want generators running during their presentation.

Glacier National Park is about the same. I think they want quiet in the evening. Easy if you have a programmable system, but a pain otherwise.

BTW probably has the correct reason. Having a residential fridge, I’ve come to appreciate the later generator hours. Don’t have Solar yet. Oh well, we will make do. I’ve been wanting to visit this park in our rig for some time.

You will have no problem making it with the residential refer. Just not a lot of tv after the sun goes down.

We have been there a couple of times and the place gives me the willies. It is totally dark and quiet, as in real quiet.

Make sure you drive the trail across the road, pretty neat.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

Yes, in AZ. It might be confusing since I listed “NM” in the thread title. In this instance, NM stands for the park designation of “National Monument”, not the state abbreviation of “New Mexico”. Sorry for the confusion.
