Our first trip out in the RV

We went to Camp Lake Jasper for memorial day weekend and had a good time! It was a little too short but still fun. Also found a few more bugs to work out on the RV but nothing major. Got it all setup and ready to go and a few pics.

The wife relaxing

Kids getting ready to go fishing

And the wife fishing

I think the sun got to him

And roasting some marshmallows

Cant wait till the next trip.

Nice RV there. Best way to work out the kinks is to take it out! Looks like fun.

It's a resort. It's new only being 2 years old, very quiet and real friendly people. Liked it so much 9 of us there booked the same spots for next year.

We are going to try to take it out once a month for now. Being a truck driver and redoing my house that's going to be pushing it. But time will be made. Me and the wife been wanting one of these for 6 or 7 years.

Our "boys" are now 37 & 34. They both have wonderful memories of all the camping trips from their youth. Actually, the younger one is living fulltime in a 5th wheel (and loving it), and the older is looking to get a TT so he and his wife can take their 5 yr. old on trips. Definitely try to carve out time to take them camping. They'll be 37 & 34 before you know it,,,in a blink of an eye.

You are creating great memories for your kids and probably instilling in them a love for camping and the outdoors (even if they don't know it now!)

Congrats on a great coach & 1st outting!

p.s. Did anyone catch any fish?

Yes my son caught two bass about a foot long, but it was catch and release so no dinner. He was so excited though that he stayed out till dark and we had to go get him and his friend.

Looks like a good time, we also wish we had the thought to buy an RV or camper while the kids were young. Did not really know anything about RV'ing back then though! We've had our Class A since February, and every time we are at a park and see families, especially with young children, we think how nice and what great memories those kids will have!

Looks like an EXCELLENT Maiden Voyage!! It's much better (I've found) to discover the "bugs" when you're close to home and on a shorter (2-3-day) trip than to suffer through something not working for a week... or more!

Also: You may not believe this now... But in 10 or so years, when your sons are grown up and have children of their own(?)... They are going to THANK YOU for these times. You're gonna find some cranky teenagers until then... But it'll make it all worth it!
