Our summer trip

hey folks. been a long time since i posted..lol! anyway just thought i'd brag about our summer trip we are taking in june and see if anyone had tips or input on our destinations.

we are leaving houston and headed to salina ks for the night. then to jellystone at estes park for a few days so DW can meet up with some family there. from estes, we are going to glenwood springs for 2 more days. found what looks like a very nice CG, glenwood canyon resort. after glenwood springs, it's down to pueblo for the night then to palo duro canyon SP back in texas. going to take in the Texas show and spend a few days. then to abeline SP for the night and finally back home. all said, will be about 2800 miles in 10 days.

the trip may seem broken up, but it was planned when we had our TT. was fortunate enough last week to find a deal on a 2011 serrano 31x. so we are doing a shakedown run june 1st then DW is packing it up while i head back to work for a few days. then it's off to the adventure..so to speak. because the 31x is such a new purchase, we will not have a toad for the trip. wifes family will be able to take us around in estes, and i have a rental lined up in glenwood. plus i will have my moutain bike if a short trip is needed. somewhat difficult finding a lightweight toad that hauls 3 carseats on a budget in a hurry! lol.

ok, lol. if anyone has been to these places in summer, feel free to chime in with tips or advice. cant wait to get on the road!

Sounds like a nice trip. You have Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak along the way. The drive up Pikes Peak is nice, great views and if you drive over the side of the road there are two springs to stop you, Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs.... Seriously, a nice day trip.

Be safe.

We have had some long trips without a toad, we rent a car to see the sights.
