Outer Banks last week of October... Will it be too cold?

We are looking for a place to camp the last week in October... Just DH and I, no kids. We are traveling from CT and would like to keep the drive under 15 hours. Thoughts on OBX or other destination ideas would be appreciated!

Camp Hatteras and the newly remodeled KOA in Rodanthe are both very nice!

Last week in October can be iffy in NC. Some Halloweens it has been warm, while others have been cold. Probably not near as cold as CT. I recommend Camp Hatteras. Nice place with some sites on sound side, and some on Ocean side.
