Outer Banks N C

I am going to Outer Banks N.C. I'm lookin for a place or places where I could boondock for a few days. Go to the beach park & fish.
Here in Alaska I see a stream, park safe and go. Is this possible.

thank you Dave

I don't think you'll find many places for boondocking on the Outer Banks, maybe inland, but along the islands it's pretty restricted. The National Seashore especially discourages any parking or camping outside of campgrounds, the other areas are patrolled and restricted by local towns. I'd plan on paying for a campground stay.

Yeah, our OB trip was caught during the Gov. shutdown, so all the state parks and seashores were closed. Didn't see any boondocking spots other than seaside parking lots and pull offs...and they would probably run you off there. We really didn't see any commercial campgrounds(further south) we would categorize as 'destination cgs', but most were adequate...mostly 30 A service. Our last RV didn't like 30A in the heat, so we were limited on there we could stay and be comfortable. Here's some choices:

BTW, wish we could swap 'backyards'...for awhile, anyway - during the summer months.
