Does anyone have any recommendations for campgrounds in the Outer Banks, North Carolina?
Your input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

We have friends who stayed on Hatteras, Someplace that apparently had sites on the sound side as well as the ocean. From their description of the prices, I recommend you bring lots of money

Try waves Campground right next door (S) to Hatteras CG. We initially found them to be less money however I don't know if they have raised their prices. We recently stayed at Hatteras and it was - OK! We stayed on both sides by the way each for about a week.

What area are you looking at? Do you want hook ups or is National Park no hookups fine. Ocean Waves near Rodanthe, NC is by far the least expensive with hookups but limited on recreation but still waterfront. My other recommendations are KOA and Camp Hatteras. Just returned from KOA a few hours ago.
