Overnight at a beach

I want to know if anyone knows of a good beach in southern California that we can go up tomorrow for an overnighter without having a reservation....

Its might be hard with no reservations but school is starting soon.........search Silver Strand State Beach in San Diego below Coronado. Its nothing a parking lot basically with no hook ups but you are right level and about a 30 second walk to the water. I've camped there many times. San Diego is chock full of things to do and see.

You mean the police allow RVs to stay there overnight? For Calif, that surprises me.
