I'll be returning from Disney in a few weeks and I'm looking for an alternative to the South of the Border Campground we've stayed at in the past...Usually make FL to VA in a little over a day and a half, so anywhere close the first day is good...

Tired of Pedro and all his signs and junk....

Any other ideas?

Check out I95 exit info to check out some other places to stay. Personally I prefer Pedro.

I am not big on KOA, but Florence has a nice one off I-95 on north side of Florence. Exit is at an Iron Skillet restaurant and is TV road.
On the South side, there is a Swampfox campground that has some permant tentants but should be fine for the night. This is the first exit coming into Florence from Florida. Highway 76, Exit 157 I think.

Dunno if you want to drive this far but Flying J at Exit 181 is a great place to spend the night. They have a grassy field for your enjoyment. We stayed there once and felt overwhelmed with all of the rigs.

Swamp Fox is a Passport America park run by a very nice lady. Most of the permanents are people working in the area. traveling nurses, construction, etc. We stay both coming and going to FL every year.

We always stay at the Flying J, have been there so many times. Its the perfect overnighter to and from FLA.
