Well, in two months, two weeks and three days we'll be headed to Disney's Fort Wilderness in our motorhome. Our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter will be following us in their motorhome. We'll be leaving on a Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. and driving to around 2:00 a.m. or so.

We're looking for a good spot in mid to lower Kentucky along I-75 to stop for a few hours of sleep - or just until 5:00 or 6:00 a.m. before we get on our way again. We plan on spending Friday night at the KOA on the border of GA and FL.

Can anyone recommend a good spot to sleep for a few hours right off I-75 south? Maybe a rest stop, Wallmart, Flying J, etc. that would be safe for us?

Thank you!

We just made this trip during the Christmas holiday and spent New Years at Fort Wilderness. There are several rest areas along the I75 route that is always busy and you will find lots of semi trucks and motor homes parked over night. If this is your first visit to FW you will love it! Have fun and a safe trip!

Hi Born2RV:
Go to Pilot Flying J - Complete Locations List where there is a list of all Pilot/Flying J locations.

Go to Walmart.com - Store Locator where you can get the location of WalMart in Southern Kentucky.

Go to Cracker Barrel for a list of Cracker Barrel location in Kentucky.

I have no personal knowledge of the safety of these locations.

There is also the KOA in Corbin Kentucky that is open year round.

Stayed there a few times. Nice folks.
