Overnight near Buffalo, NY

Hi there!
We are finally buying an RV after renting previously. We'll be picking it up in Buffalo on Thursday, Oct. 11th. Does anyone know of a place we could spend the night near Buffalo? Would prefer hookups so we can be sure everything is working properly. Then we can also "unhook" to see if all is good without full power/water.
Any help is always appreciated!

Congrats on your new rig!

A couple of possibilities depending on where in the area you are picking up your new toy. Most of the campgrounds are farther outside of the area, but you might want to consider Lake Erie State Park or perhaps the KOA on Grand Island. The KOA will be the closest and it has full hook ups.

If you're picking up a new-to-you RV why not make an appointment with CW to give it a "Free RV Courtesy Inspection" for first thing Friday morning, then you can stay there Thursday night with their hookups free.

There's a new CW at Hamburg (west of Buffalo) or the one at Churchville (east of Buffalo about 60 miles).

Lake Erie Park may actually work as it's at least in the direction of home! Thanks!

Thanks but GI will be quite out of our way. We need to be back in NC early Saturday am for kids' soccer!

Hamburg would actually be a good idea. Although if everything is working as it should be we'll need to be up and out early Friday am.

Someone wiser than me once said;

"If is the biggest little word in the English language."

I'd be willing to bet a problem discovered at CW would not take as long to fix as one discovered on the side of I-75 somewhere south of there......

Congrats

Good Luck with new unit, let's hear about her. Sorry I have not suggestions on where to stay, just found post interesting I used ot live in Buffalo years ago, to many to count!, and now live in NC.

The suggestion about CW sounds great, could also shop for all the new goodies while there. Better hurry before the snow starts to fly!

Let us know how the trip went and about your new home on wheels when you get back. This is a great forum for gathering helpful info. I have camped in TT's for decades and just made the switch to Class A and have found great information on this forum for assistance and ideas.

Enjoy, travel safe, and let us know how it goes.
