Overnight recommendations

On the subject of overnighting at Walmart, I thought I would start this thread. Recommendations by interstate or highway and nearest town. Not a CG, but a quick in and out Ike Walmart or rest area.

I-20 west of Midland Odessa. Rest stop is fantastic, big, and a safety stop. Will stay here every time traveling in the area.

Rest stop I 70 exit 90 Rifle Co. Very nice parking for big rigs coming in on both sides of the road.
Rest area area has about parking for 10 big rigs. Plus what's on the sides of the road coming In and exiting.

Off the interstate just a bit. Sewer dump durning non freeze times.

And they all want to sell me something. I was just hoping for a few good recommendations from a site that I already belong and contribute to.

Our local fairgrounds is used quite often by RV'rs and semis. Just last week when I drove by there were 4 campers parked there. They have electrical power sources as well as a dump station. It is my understanding that you have to pay for the electricity (obviously) but I'm not sure how it is handled. Our fairground is approximately 3 miles from I-80. Perhaps there are other fairground facilities available throughout the country.

We have seen boondockers in just about every large parking lot there is, from Lowe's to Home Depot to Target to strip malls to large malls to well you get the idea.
As for traveling we usually end up in rest areas, state welcome centers and truck stops.

See if you can find a copy of "The Next Exit". It's got a lot of useful information on the exits and what to expect. Also, for Wally World, there is a guide published on which ones allow and do not.

Have you looked at RV Parky | RV Parks & Campgrounds Directory, Reviews, Photos. The android version works nicely.
