Looking for an overnight spot near Paducah, preferably a commercial CG.
A pull through would be a plus, but not necessary. Just a place to sleep for a while and cook a meal. Near the interstate a plus as well. This Sunday, May 2 PM
Suggestions? Thanks
doc

Hey doc,

We've stopped at Duck Creek RV Park, it's a dumpy park with a lot of permanents living there in 20+ year old RV's but it's convenient to I-24 and the rates are commensurate with how crummy it is. There's an auto auction next door so there's a lot of activity going on around it.

Might work for y'all for one night but I doubt you'd want to stay there any longer than that.

Richard, that fits the bill. Close to interstate, pull through and a place to sleep for a few hours. Believe we will try it. Thanks

We are on the trip west to S Dakota. We found Duck Creek at exit 11 on I 24 in Paducah. In the rain!
This place is very adequate and had exactly what we were looking for to overnite and get out early the next morning. It rained all day Sunday and into the night, but the gravel site was well packed and not a problem. The guy that runs the place is a super nice guy. He is a MS patient and has to get around in a mobilty scooter, just like Ms Carol. We hit it off immediately and had a lot to talk about. He has the Primary Progressive type MS as does Ms C. Compared notes and talked for a while.
This is a pretty busy place with a lot of sites occupied. Very nice and clean pool. Not of me however, I like the sunshine if I am in the water.
A lot of workmen staying there, still cleaning up from the huge ice storm in the are back during the winter.
Anyone needing an overnite in the area - $23 with Good Sam and 50 amp full hookups.

We stayed at Duck Creek too. Not a destination resort but fits the bill.

Nearest RV park to the National Quilting Museum and Hancock Fabrics. Woo-hoo...

You might consider Fern Lake CG. We have stayed there the last 5 years and the folks who run it are great. IT is our base of operations during the Paducah Quilt Show each year. Not as crowded as Duck Creek.
