Ozark Mountains

Hi!! we want to travel to the Ozark Mtns. from Vicksburg, Mississippi and want to enjoy the Ozarks. Can someone suggest a nice campground that will give us nice roads to travel the Ozarks on a motorcycle?

Petit Jean state park is beautiful, with lots do, and easy for you to get to.

I would add that most Arkansas state parks now have AA rv sites, with water, sewer, and power hook-ups. Lake Fort Smith park, which is at the beginning of the scenic 71 drive, is also very nice, and a good western gateway to the Ozarks. Further north is Devils Den state park, which is beautiful, but not easy for anything over 30 feet.

We stay at Buffalo River NP Buffalo National River (U.S. National Park Service) We also like Queen Wilhelmina State Park down in the Ouachita Mountains. Even though the lodge is closed the campground is open. Here is a link: Queen Wilhelmina State Park - Arkansas State Parks The motorcycle riding all around this area is great, especially during the fall leaf change.
