Ozark NF --Arkansas

After leaving Branson, we want to see Ozark NF and surrounding area....any recommendations for the best place to stay....Russelville???:confuse d:

We spent some time here last summer. Its high enough that even in late June it was cool. Great hiking trails.
Petit Jean State Park – Petit Jean Mountain – Arkansas State Park

In the Russellville area, I would recomend staying at the Corp of Eng park on Old Post Road. It is located on the Arkansas River and is only 20.00 a night with out a Golden Card. Just stay on Hwy 7 through Russellville and you can't miss the signs south of town. Lake Dardanelle also has a park but some spots can be hard to get into and like the Corp. it has W/E with dump station. Rates there run about 25-35 a night. There is a private park at Hwy 7 and I40 but it normally full of temp works from the Nuke plant.
