Page AZ - Recommendations sought

I'm wondering if anybody knows of free or cheap camping with or without hookups, near Page, AZ where I might be able to take my 33' Class C. 33' includes my motorcycle on the back bumper. My preference is to be in nature.

It's Saturday 5/17/14 as I write this and I have an appointment for some RV service Monday morning in Page. I'd like to roll up that way on Sunday from here at the Grand Canyon so I can make my early morning appointment without having to get up at 3 AM.

I can park at the WalMart in Page, which I may do, but since I think I'll be exploring the area for a number of days I'm hoping to find a nicer location.

Thanks.

They have dry camping in the National Recreation Area at Lake Powell. Have you looked at that? I'm not sure what the price is, but it is a beautiful area to camp in.

Stop at the visitor center after you cross the Colorado River. Look at the map there for the Lone Rock Road. We had free entry with our National Parks pass and paid $10/night for dry camping. Without the parks pass, I think the entry fee was $15.

Follow the road to the restrooms/showers at the end of the pavement. Before you enter the parking lot at the restroom/showers, go left on the dirt road. This road is hard packed and will get you close to the water.

There are reasonably level places to boondock there. We were there a week ago.

Thanks.

I'm uncertain what you saw, or think you saw. I've looked at that site and didn't see anything relevant. That's one reason why I posted here.

No need to go to all that trouble. I can and have done it myself. Thanks.

Most enjoyable.......

You are welcome, safe travels to ya.......
Lake Powell was my most favorite place on my western trip last fall.....This was the view from our picnic table.........Coffee was real most enjoyably each morning, to say the least If you ever wanted to star gaze, Oh my god! The night sky's are something I'd never seen!

OK folks. Thanks to you all. Here is what I"m going to do. Tonight I'm staying at the Walmart in Page because it's on the same street where I'll have my rv serviced in the morning. Never done a Walmart before so I thought I'd try it out. Tomorrow, assuming the service of my fridge goes without a snag and it's finished early enough I'll head on over to Lone Rock Beach Campground for a day or two while I explore around Page. I plan to take in a slotted canyon and Horseshoe Bend, is it?

Thanks to all who made and effort to help me out.
