We have lived in the area for 60 years. What can we tell you? The amusement area is quickly being overcome by condo's. The beach area is the same it has been. The tide still comes and goes. The Canadians are still plentiful. There are no RV parks "ON" the beach. Wild Acres is the closest which was recently bought out by Morgan Rv Resorts. You can walk out their back gate and down to the beach. Probably a 1/4 mile side- walk walk. Most of the parks in the area have trolleys that come and go.
What are your particular interests? Be glad to help.

Wild acres is definately the closest! They have some great sites, several pools (if the ocean is too cold??), and have easy access to the beach. They are a little pricey but everything in. OOB is! As for the area, it is very honkey tonk with lots of quebecers around. Several good restaraunts all over and some decent shopping. My wife and I actually spend part of our honeymoon there. We took an Rav trip and ended there before heading home. Its a nice place to visit and we hope to go back this summer!

"(if the ocean is too cold??)"

IF is the biggest two letter word in your post! I'm pretty sure the water there warms up to at least 40 by the end of August
