Park City Utah in February

Planning for next winters travel is already in progress.

We would probably like to go skiing for a few weeks (or maybe even more) in the Park City area (outside Salt Lake City). We have previously stayed at Park City RV Resort when skiing this area, but we wondered if anyone know of any alternatives. A Google search have come up empty.

Some may suggest alternatives in Salt Lake City, but we have come to the conclusion that this is just too far away from the ski area when/if you would like to ski on a daily basis. We have therefore already ruled this out.

We will need a full hook-up including 50 AMPs.

Any ideas?

What - not one single reply

Could be down to a number of things:

  1. There are no alternatives.
  2. None of iRV2's members likes skiing.
  3. None of iRV2's members lives near Park City or Salt Lake City and therefore no one knows.
  4. None of the above.
  5. All of the above.
Which is it?

1. RVing in Utah isn't that common in the winter. There aren't that many RV parks in Park City--there may only be one--the one you already have experience at. That would mean state parks. I don't know if they're open all year. You'll have to check ReserveAmerica.com

Wasatch Mountain State Park | Utah.com
Jordanelle State Park | Utah.com

I don't believe there will be anything more convenient than the Park City RV Resort.

Park City RV park

Greetings. I checked web site and Park City rv park is open year round.
I live 15 miles from PC, in Oakley, UT. There is rv park at Kimball Junction, which is open April - October.
If you have web phone, iPod, iPhone, iPad - there is an app for campgrounds, which is All Stays Camp & RV. App lists all rv campgrounds, including military.
Thanks, Larry

I worked for a company headquartered in SLC. Lots of time, we would take customers up to Park City for skiing. It is not that far from SLC.

I skied at Steamboat CO. this past late Jan. Where there was a RV park about a mile or two from the town of Steamboat Springs, on the way to the airport. There were maybe 10 RV's parked.
