Park in Ocala area?

We are looking for a full hookup, hopefully concrete or at least clean and level site, hopefully pull through, wi fi, cable near Ocala at least 20 miles or so near.

We once visited a park near Reddick that was nice. An Encore group I think bought them out. I think it was a bit north of Reddick. I can't find an Encore park on the two review sites I looked up.

We are concerned about finding a place that has availability for weekly rentals since we've been told that during this time of the year it's hard to get spots. Can anyone suggest a nice park or two? Also, any encouragement about the chance to find a place for December?

Thanks for any advice!

3bells:

Take a look at WILDERNESS RV RESORT Welcome to Wilderness RV Resorts At Silver Springs, Florida (FL) in Silver Springs which is adjacent to and an extension of Ocala to the East. Phone: (877) 900-9399 toll free, or, (352) 625-1911. Right on the Oklawaha River where Hwy.40 crosses and a GREAT central location for either day trips to Atlantic or Gulf locales.

We are full timers and stumbled into this park after being invited for a visit a couple years ago by friends of ours who stay here. We've now spent two winter seasons at this location. You'll like it.

Welcome to IRV2 3bells,

Hate to let the cat out of the bag but you may want to check out Wilderness RV Park in Silver Springs Fla. which is on the east side of Ocala.

Concrete site are plentiful as is both weekly and monthly rates. There are several IRV2 members who winter there including ourselves. I'm sure there are several folks there from Michigan as well. Dollar for dollar, I doubt you will find a better deal. It is clean and quite with level sites. A short drive to the Ocala activities and shopping. One hour to Ormond beach and one hour to the west coast.

If you want a weekly site you will be limited to the "Village Park" section. The Town Park and Preserve areas are for monthly and seasonal only. Some owners rent out their sites as well.

We have stayed there multi-years so if you have any questions, feel free to PM us FMI.

I stayed in the Preserve area for a week this past February. I like the walk along the river and the dog park. Most of the Preserve area is unsold and one big grassy field.

Hi 3bells,
Go to Ocala North RV Park - Reddick, FL . Check out Ocala North RV Park. I think this is what you are looking for.

You can also check into Grand Lake RV and Golf resort. It used to be a wonderful park....very big and clean. Check it out. I used to snowbird there about 5 years ago.

I agree with the others. Wilderness RV Park is one of the best in the Ocala/Silver Springs area. We stayed a month last year and really enjoyed it. This year we will only be staying a week, but look forward to catching up with all our IRV2 friends who stay there.

Another park near Ocala is Salt Springs Campground, if you can get in there in the winter. You are allowed to stay about as long as you want. Really nice large sites. But a lot of snowbirds know about this place. Nice and Quiet.
