Hi,

We normally stay at State Parks in Michigan but have rarely have stayed at private ones.

Looking for recommendations.

Thanks,

Hi Ajs,

From Memorial to Labor weekend I book out our trips 6 months in advance, rest of the time I book a few days before hand or just turn up.

I still have trips in August to book.

Duck Creek RV Resort across from Michigan's Adventure is a great privately owned park. Awesome facilities, super friendly, great sites.

Lower Michigan is a big area. Where do you want to be? Do you want long-term?

Mecosta Pines Campground

Nice friendly campground on the Little Muskegon River in Morley, MI. half way between Big Rapids and Grand Rapids.

Park recommendation in lower Michigan

I've found most private campgrounds in Michigan are more expensive than our state parks AND for the most part are not as nice as our State Park campgrounds.

I found that also Gary,

Most State parks I stay at are 22-35$ a night.
