Park The RV & Light Rail To Downtown Portland?

Hey everyone, thank you for checking my post! We are currently planning a stop over in Portland and I am trying to figure out how we can pull it off! We do not have a toad and my bike was recently stolen off the back of the RV so we are trying to do a Light Rail/Walk tour of Portland. Has anyone done this? Would you suggest a different course of action? We are thinking of parking the RV in a neighborhood outside of downtown and taking the light rail in.

Portland is a great place. That's all I can offer. The light rail will take you across the river, lots of nice shops and restaurants there also.
Where to park outside of town I have no idea.

There should be enough room near or at the Clackamas Town Center mall at Sunnyside road and I-205. From that MAX station (light rail) you could ride to PDX or go downtown or to the Portland Zoo. Lots of info on line.
I've ridden it many times. Not really comfortable with smelly transients, gangbangers and dopers who will be riding with you wherever you go

I have used the light rail in Portland often when we do trade shows.
Never been in the middle of bangers, dopers and such at all. But we aren't on it at 2 in the morning either.

I never said I rode the Max at 2 am.
I recommend you look up and around while riding it. That might insure that erroneous info is not passed on to RV'ers who want to check out Portland.

I did pass on accurate information to fellow rv ers.
Been there many times.
That why I stated your exp must have been different.

I parked a 40'er during a test drive, in the North side of the mall. So I know you can do it. The Max Light rail, parallels I-205 and the mall is adjacent to that.

Have fun!

Lived in Beaverton for a year and took the rail in town, too bad you didn't contact us about meeting up in Spokane since you had our info. Might have been able to help you out. Oh well, you'll figure it out! Cheers!
