We were there mid-May a couple years ago and stayed on the river at Cattail Cove State Park. It was 106 degrees!!!! Much too hot to do anything. I know folks go there all summer long but it's not for us. We were making our way up to Silverton, CO at that time.

Be prepared for 95-100 highs and lows around 80.

Snowbirds typically begin heading home around April 1. I suggest you definitely have reservations or boondock somewhere.

I'll be there again Apr 15-17 for the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series. Last year it was low to mid 90's that time of year. We will be racing at the Bluewater Casino.

Parker on the river depends on the type of winter they have had. Last year, we were there and the weather beginning in late January was unseasonably warm and the long term winter visitors from the northern tier and beyond were bailing out as early as beginning of March as the temps were rising earlier than normal. We liked it because we could claim a choice spot they usually occupy until 1 Apr. On the other hand, we had a need to be there at end of June and it was mega hot, but were able to get a spot under an afternoon shade tree, which helped immensely.
