We have stayed in this park and recommend it highly. Two or three campground areas, the newest area is near the lake with concrete pads. The other areas are more wooded and private. There are some very nice trails to hike, a lake, swimming pool, nice lodge and restruant, etc. The east and west entries are somewhat steep but not a major issue. You'll enjoy it!

Great place and lots of nice hiking. Be careful, I think the featured plant is poison ivy...it was everywhere.

In Russellville the best park to me is the COE on the Arkansas River, Russellville side. The name is Old Post Park there is also a COE on the Dardanelle side of the river. Ten bucks a night with a Passport Card. No pull throughs, but nice wide flat sites with lots of trees and easy backins...

We stay there every year, you need to ask for the "A" area as that is the new area with pull throughs and full hookups. Make sure to eat at the lodge, good food and reasonable prices.

I have never been there, but I'll put it on my list. Sounds good!

Check out the Rockefeller car museum too while you are there. Pretty park and area. The hike to the waterfall is not too long either if you take your toad to the trail-head. But it is not Niagara falls my any means. Just a small creeks flow. The "Pool area" at the base of the falls is CO L D if ya decide to take a swim. (I skinny dipped in the pool area at the base of the fall as a kid )
