We've stayed at Pioneer RV Park off I-17 just north of the Carefree Highway in January-February the last couple of years. I like it for its proximity to the Ben Avery Shooting Facility and DW likes the retail south of there along I-17.
The park is going through some convulsions due to ambiguities about the status of the land upon which it sits. Some of the park models have moved out, few improvements have been made, only urgent repairs being made, and it has an air of just-barely-hanging-on.
Any suggestions for alternative parks in the I-17 corridor from the AZ-101 up to Anthem? Full hookups, laundromat, etc. Don't care about golf, pool, horseshoes, pot-lucks, clubhouse, etc.
Thanks,

staying at Leaf Verde RV resort right now. It is in Buckeye, AZ and has great retail shopping 2 miles from the resort. It is just of I 10 west of Phoenix. here is the link www.LeafVerdeRV.com
full hookups without cable TV but the ant. gets NBC, ABC, CBS and more. free wifi and nice clean laundry room and a pool.
It is an open field with no real shade but only paying 350 plus electric for the month of October. Nice for the money!!

Desert's Edge RV Park is on the north side of Phoenix and we have enjoyed staying there. Laid back and very few activities but a nice place and location to shopping. Right next to I-17. Deer Valley airport is near.

We are planning to come back to Leaf Verde this December. Still plenty of spaces available? I've never seen it full. Good rates.

We used to stay at Desert Shadows RV Resort. It is just behind Costco on I-17 just south of I 101. It is a decent park - really a park for park models - but has a couple of rows for short stays near the entrance. We would still stay there, but our son moved to Chandler after completing school, so we stay South East of PHX.
Might want to check it out:

There's also Lake Pleasant RV park (not to be confused with the wonderful Lake Pleasant Regional Park which is our preference).
