Nope....not possible...we've tried! Your best bets are the Maricopa County Parks at Cave Creek or McDowell at Fountain Hills. These Parks have water & power, but no sewer (dump station) and your max. stay is 14days (albeit you can stay another 14 days by just changing your site). These parks are great with massive private sites and superb mountain biking. We usually stay 14 days at each park + Usery Park in Mesa and just move around because we love the area in the winter. Scottsdale is a relatively short drive away.....and we never go anywhere near Phoenix.

If you want to stay in the same place for 30-60 days ......welcome to the various mobile home villages in Mesa, Apache Junction, Chandler, Gilbert, etc. Most of these places put RVers along a gravel row, where you get to bake in the Arizona sun .....and catch a tan off the reflection of your neighbour's RV parked about 5ft from yours!

As much as we hate the set-up at most Mobile Home Villages, we are currently staying at Viewpoint in Mesa, as they slot RV,s into vacant 35x60' sites among the permanent mobile homes. We come for the golf as they have a pretty good 18 hole course & a 9 hole executive track..... very reasonably priced. Tennis is also a big deal here and they also have about a million other activities scheduled every day!

I am sure others will have recommendations for you.... Hope this helps.....good luck.

This is a big open field but lots of nice people and the price is good. Close to a Walmart and plenty of restaurants. Nice activites for the guests and a nice dog run. Stayed there a month in October 2011.

Phoenix/scottsdale

I agree with Jack...not possible!! The place we like the best is the campground in Fountain Hills associated with the casino. Small and removed...but Fountain Hills is great. Bu, a bit of a drive.

Sundance 1 RV Resort, Casa Grande.

1 hour to either Phoenix or Tucson, and so much to see and do in each direction.

Apache Junction east of Mesa is a nice area although it's getting congested like the Mesa/Phoenix area. However, the Superstition Mountains are there so there's some nice drives especially the Apache Trail. A good day trip is driving it over to Roosevelt Lake and returning via Globe. Boyce Arboretum is also worthwhile for a day. Great hiking in Lost Dutchman State Park. Here's a link to a newer RV park in Apache Junction which has a pool/spa and lots of activities. It gets good reviews on RV

If you can get in, the KOA in Mesa is a nice facility. Stayed there this past spring for a week.

Lots of nearby shopping and restaurants, but much less traffic than closer in to Phoenix. And, as already said, the Apache trail is right there and is a must see drive.

K-Star you say you've found a place. I'm wondering if anyone here has stayed at Pioneer RV Park just a few miles north of Phoenix? We almost stayed there, but lucked out and found a private residence in stead. But Pioneer seemed okay. Just wondering if anyone has been there.

Decent place. We stay there when we visit our kids. Kind of tight, and has a pool. Very convenient for SE PHx or Scottsdale. The keep the place clean. Lot of rules which makes it better for all.
