Took the new-to-us Excursion out for a few shakedown cruises. This place is only about 10 miles away. It was decent, lots of stuff for kids to do, nice sites, just a little high on the rate schedule, esp. for around here - it's not like we're just outside of the Grand Canyon or anything. Nearest tourist area is 40 miles away...

Isn't that where Paulie and Christopher took the Russian to whack him on The Sopranos?

Haven't the foggiest. Never watched it. But I wouldn't be surprised.

We live out in our old van. Travel all across this land. Drive until the city lights dissolve into a country sky, me and you - hand in hand.

Happy Halloween from Texas

Here's a spot we found only 5 miles from home!
It's Oak Thicket Park on Fayette Lake, Fayette County Texas near Fayetteville, Texas.

You can read about this campsite here: Our Highway Life - Oak Thicket Park
