I decided to spend the summer up here and went to my trusty PassPort America book and found Walden Creek Campground. It is a stone throw from all the 'stuff' in Pidgeon Forge and about 7 miles from Gatlinburg. Trolley stops right out front. It is quiet, friendly right on the creek, and very inexpensive. PassPort for entire stay. Not my park, just hanging out here.
I am in spot 27. Only 38 total.

Checked out their site, but they don't post prices. Can you tell what you are being charged for your site? It looks like a nice place and close to alot things to do...may check it out this summer...

Creekside RV Park which is beside Walden Creek Park is also a nice park and has more sites. Stayed in both of these parks.

Left Walden about two weeks ago. GREAT place. Close to just about everything, low cost with full service. With PA it is a winner.

I'm heading out to Cove Creek RV Resort in Sevierville. Has anyone stayed there?

I remember being in that area in August a few years ago and it was VERY HOT!
It was about 99 degrees and 90 % humidity. Maybe June is better.
