Pine Island KOA

Any one have any experience at the Pine Island KOA? We are looking at that place and a few others around the Fort Myers area.

Thanks,
Gary

We stayed there in 2005 and it was very nice but things can change in 7 years. I remember that a lot of the sites toward the back of the CG were either permanent or seasonal because they looked a little too much at home. Nicely done though.

St. James City was fun but there does not seem to be any public beaches on Pine Island. I think the KOA has a shuttle bus to N. Ft. Myers beach for some toes in the sand.

We stayed there two years ago for 2 months. It was very nice, a little pricey, but it is a koa.

At the time the water pressure was good and staff were very friendly.

We stay at Raintree RV Resort every winter. May be hard to get a concrete pad but the grass sites are often available. We have also stayed at Tamiami RV Park but the sites there are all grass and a bit closer together. Pine Island looks closer to the water but there is no public access and the other parks are closer to shopping etc. All parks around this area are expensive during the Jan-Mar season.

We stayed there last March for 5 nights. It was just okay....not bad, just okay. If we were going back to that area, I'd check out something else. It didn't float our boat.
