we camp there often, it is pricey, but we love callaway gardens , the quaint shops in pine mountain and warm springs which is only a few miles from there. Camp ground has swimming pool, nice bath/shower but not much else. Callaway gardens is in pine mt. And offers beautiful mt. Scenery, lakes, restaurants, butterfly garden. And in november after thanksgiving they have the christmas lights that draw thousands of visitors, if you could postpone your trip to latter nov. So that you can see the lights in the gardens. Sites have water, elect.,cable and sewage. And are spacious. Gardens also offer golf and fishing.

Pine Mountain is a small town. Very quaint. The local grocery store is closed on Sunday. Walmart is in LaGrange. FDRs Georgia Whitehouse is worth a visit

This is interesting, we are going down for the Portuguese Water Dog National Dog Show and just starting to think about where we going to camp at a camp ground or at Calloway Gardens??(where the show is)

would love to have as much feed back as you can give.

We stayed there last September. The sites are large and far apart. If you ask ,they will take you into town or to the gardens and pick you up. We had a great time and would stay again.

callaway gardens does not have a campground, callaway gardens is located at pine mt.,ga and there are two cgs pine mt resort and the fdr state park( which does not offer sewage, cable, has a dump station and water and elect, at each site) the resort does offer cable, elect.,water and sewage. my husband does not like the fdr. feels there is not enough room for mh, however we do see mhs staying there.

Thank you for the info,
If the dog club does not allow us to park at Callaway Gardens (where the dog show is) we will stay at the Pine Mtn Resort. I need space for the rig and me.......

We used to show Newfy's so I know it can get hectic. But if you have some time, the FDR Little White House in Warm Springs is well worth the trip. From Callaway, Hwy 190 to Alt85 (Whitehouse Pwy) toward Warm Springs, the FDR white House is on the left just past the big runaway truck ramp in the median. (might want to take the toad). 190 is scenic, along a ridgeline.
enjoy
