Places to see, between here and there...

We recently learned that we have a wedding to attend near Burlington VT in mid August. We've decided to take the coach up from our base in central South Carolina. As long as we've making the trip we thought we should see what there is to see along the way.

We're looking for suggestions of interesting and scenic stops/stays we might make. Looks like upstate New York would have possibilities. Perhaps Williamsburg and/or the outer banks on our way back, are a couple of the ideas we've had. I see we'll be going right through Pennsylvania.

We need big rig friendly RV parks or campgrounds. Since we now live in it full time we went "extra large" with the coach.

Looking forward to any suggestions we might get.

Happy trails!

If you are in to vineyards make the loop around the finger lakes. Stop at Watkins Glenn race track on your way up.

When we made that trip from Charlotte a few years ago, we went almost due north til we hit Lake Erie State Park. Then went along the water eastward with a great stop at Niagara Falls and then along the south shore of Lake Ontario. Then north again until we hit the river / Canadian border and followed it west to Lake Champlain. Awesome country, vineyards, orchards and wonderful small towns and villages with lots of friendly people along the way.
