Places to stay to see lower part of Yellowstone

Was not able to get a spot at Colter Bay RV park, planning on using it as a base to see lower part of Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Would prefer not to boondock. Coming from Mammoth, any suggestions? Thanks

Colter Bay is dry camping. Fishing Bridge is the only RV park in Yellowstone with full hook ups. Usually full this time of year but you could try to see if any cancellations have come in.

Colter Bay Village is where I tried, they have full hookups. I'll try calling daily for cancellations. Thanks

Your right about the Colter Bay Village campground having hook-ups. We stayed in the dry camping section. You could also try Fishing Bridge as they have full hook ups also.

Did you try Headwaters Campground at Flagg Ranch. It's between Yellowstone & Grand Tetons. Headwaters Campground at Flagg Ranch

If you haven't gotten a site at Colter Bay RV by the time you get into the area, definitely try to arrive there early morning. You might snag a cancellation. You could also stay next door at the dry campground at Colter Bay and check daily. There's a water fill and dump station right there.
