Planning a 6 tour in the Oregon coast

At Newport we stayed in South Beach State park. It was nice and big rig friendly. We liked Florence and stayed at Honneyman Memorial State Park. Coos Bay has Mill Pond Casino that has a nice RV park. If you have a smart phone get RV Parky. It's really useful to find places to stay.

Check out the Winchester Bay RV Resort. It is beautiful, flat, full service not overly expensive and has great views. It is near town (walking distance) and some good places to eat. It would be a bad place if a tidal wave ever hit however!

This is great info. Thank you so much!
Hopefully no tidal waves while we are visiting!

Coos Bay (actually just west of Coos), great park with a mostly enclosed beach and great for dogs, called Oceanfront (or Oceanside) RV Resort. Good park...great location. We also liked Beachside down in Brookings and worth going a little further South. We did find the state parks we looked at as inappropriate for larger coaches with expensive paint (as you didn't indicate what you're in). We also found them as not as close to the beach as we would have thought.

Any of the State campgrounds on the coast are nice and pet friendly. They have an online reservation system so you can book ahead, which you should do.

Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department: Reservations

I like Beverly Beach north of Newport but DW prefers South Beach. We had a rat hunting a squirrel in our space at Beverly Beach last summer and now she won't go back.

We're trying out Harbor View (Lane County) near Florence next weekend. Based on our experience at another Lane County park we expect it will be nice.
