Jim, we traveled the northeast all last summer. Someone mentioned Mystic Seaport RV Resort in Mystic, CT, we stayed there and toured CT and RI from there on our motorcycles. For our visit to Cape Cod we stayed at Peters Pond RV Resort in Sandwich, MA. I don't know what area of Maine you are interested in visiting. We never stayed near the shore. Our first week in Maine, we visited what is known as the rivers and mountains region. It's a beautiful area. We stayed at Naples CG in Naples, ME, and could actually do some exploring of Maine and NH from that campground. We stayed at a campground near Bangor, and were able to visit Acadia NP and Quoddy Head State Park (easternmost point of United States). If you give me better ideas of what you are wanting to do, I'd be more than happy to share some of the other things we enjoyed while in that part of the country. Have fun planning your trip..... Geaux Saints!!!

Three places that are musts if your going through New England, one is Essex CT, they have a wonderful Stan train that will take down a scenic track where you can then tanner to a stream bout and take a trip up the CT river and get a nice view of Gillette castle, the beauty is breathtaking, then you need to go to mystic, so much to do there from visit the old whaling town to going to the seaport, outer just walk through historic down town, amass last you have to go to Portsmouth NH, a quaint little town with cobble stone streets, it's like you stepped back into history with all off these places so don't miss out, I hope you enjoy your trip, safe traveling
