Pro Football Hall of Fame
Taking my oldest son and two of his friends to the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.
He has not been on vacation in the new motorhome as he had more important things to do over the last two summers but seemed game for this trip.
May shoot up to Buffalo to see the falls and the Bills/Bears pre-season game on Saturday night.

Cutty's Sunset in Louisville is less than 20 minutes away from the HoF. Ask to be put on one of the fhu pull thru's (K section, sites 1-9). We're usually at this CG every couple years or so with our regional group (Pond Piggies).
Another option is Evergreen RV Park in Dundee (CG actually located 1/2 mi outside of Mt. Eaton) - where we had the iRV2.com Rally this yr. Superior CG & it's only about half an hour from the HoF.
I'm probably too late w/this response for RVThere, but it'll answer your question, Ecker.

Thanks, I'm going there for 60th HS reunion next month and was hoping something closer was available and I might have missed it.

We ended up staying at the Streetsboro KOA which was closer to Cleveland. The boys remembered that their buddy was back at Case-Western U. and wanted to pay him a visit. Got the grand tour of CW and went to the Italian Festival in Cleveland's Little Italy. Been quite a few years since I hung around with some college kids until 1AM!

I played HS football at Fawcett Stadium during the 45-49 years and our family home was just about two blocks from HOF so I have long history in Canton. I have been hoping since we bought our first motorhome in 1972 (Winnebago Indian) that someone in close to Canton would do a CG but no luck and I think its pretty near the end game for me returning to Canton in the future.

Clearwater RV resort in Uniontown (SR619) is another option. They just put in some new sites. If all else fails, have seen many a unit in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 'the strip' just off I77 north of the FHOF.

Never even knew this CG was there. Been to Hartville a number of times (when staying at Cutty's), just never went further west to see what was out there. I see from their website they were able to handle a Beaver rally, then they obviously can handle motorhomes. I'll have to check that CG out next time I'm up in that area. Thanks for the tip!

Don't feel too bad, I had a home just around the corner on next block that was built in 1991 when I moved there to run a company in Hartville. Of course, CG wasn't there until last year according to what I have now read but it was exactly what I was hoping for - a new undiscovered CG nearer Canton. The forum worked as designed. Ask and you shall find. <VBG> Thanks Again to Contributors !!

Clearwater has had a campground for years. If you go back Hoover Ave past the pool it's on the west side. They used to have just electric in the 'field' now set up with full hook up sites. Last winter there were a number of units there set up for the long haul over cold NE Ohio winter. When we got back in April they were all gone.

I remember the swimming pool but not the campground. I'll be back in Canton in mid Sept and will check it out. The material I read said they did not have sewer in time for the rally in 2008 so they provided a honey truck. I assume they have completed installation of sewers by now.
