Hi July of this year a tornado came thru Wheat Ridge CO near Prospect Park RV park. There is a trail just south of the park that follows Clear Creek, along the trail that runs from Youngsfield St./I-70 from the west heading east to Kipling St You have 3 fishing ponds for bass, blue gill, crappie, and the trail itself which is paved for cyclists, nature lovers, on the north side of the creek. On the south side the trail is dirt that runs thru cottonwoods and pine trees. During the spring there are wild plum trees blooming and lilac's. But getting back to the tornado it was classed as a 1 but the distruction of the big cottonwoods all along the stretch of trail for over a mile was like a war zone. These huge trees and their uprooted rootballs lie everywhere. This is natures way of thinning out I guess, something we manage to rebuild in the process. Luckily the rv park wasn't damaged either. I like to walk along the trail you see red fox and even a bull elk last week, can you imangine a bull elk almost in the city limits of Denver. I just learned that I have skin cancer again and ready for another operation in 2 weeks. But all is well, safe travels to all, you can't stop the dawn Colorado
