We were planning on spending 35 nights at El Mirage, Arizona, this winter (2007). We had to cancel because of major water damage at the house which requires us to stay home and perform/oversee the rehab work.
At the time our reservation was made I was told that the cancellation policy was a charge of one night's camping fee. (I always ask about the cancellation policy). Now El Mirage is saying they will only issue a letter of credit. VERY ODD---as their cancellation policy in not in writing. I double checked last night. The cancellation policy is not written on any of the marketing brochures. It is not listed on the "rate" sheet, nor was it addressed on my reservation confirmation.
I am protesting to upper management of course.
