Quartzsite
Good morning,
in february 2014, we start in Houston / Tx and want to drive, among other things, to Quartz Side. Who has suggestions on what to see there. Is there a calendar of activities?
Thanks.
Walter

It's Quartzsite and about the only thing in the immediate area is the RV Show. See www.quartzsitervshow.com for info......There is also a "rock" show and a classic car weekend..

We are starting the middle of Jan and are heading to Quartzsite Az. From all the reading and all the email response sounds like it will be a blast. I guess you can just pull off the highway and park anywhere. Boondocking or Resorts. Look under Boondocking then Quartzsite

You won't find any 'resorts' in Quartzsite! The best time to be there and take in the 'festivities' is mid-January during the RV Show. If only staying for two weeks or less there are plenty of areas to just pick a spot among thousands of others and park. There are dump stations around town and water fill areas. No fee involved in the 14-day areas. There are also some long-term boondocking areas which requires a fee.

Looking for the closest paid site to the big tent(no toad) any ideas for next months festivities? And is this trip worth it?

It is my understanding that "paid sites" are gone at this late date...see www.campgroundreviews.com for specific parks.

We can not come sooner. We travel at 02/09/14 to Houston / Tx, then we are about 3-4 weeks in Texas, then it will be mid to late March until we are in Quartzsite...

There are all kinds of things going on in Quartzsite - even before the January Shows. Take a look at the QIA Website Calendar for a list of daily activities. Also, go to RV-Insight Quartzsite page for more info and schedules.
We've been here since Sept in long term parking - awesome area and BEAUTIFUL Sunsets!!!!
