Recommendations for an RV campground in Phoenix

Hi all,

I will be taking the RV to Phoenix at the end of December this year for several days for the Fiesta Bowl. I will have family meeting me there and we figure it will be less expensive than a hotel. Looking for one with nice amenities...shower, laundry, etc.
Any info appreciated.

The better parks may already be booked up .
A lot of Snowbirds arrive just after Christmas, and through Jan and Feb the parks are full.

You could try the Phoenix CofC web site for a complete listing of RV parks .

Val Vista Village is the only one I've used , and that was 15 + years ago.

Check out Apache Palms in Tempe. It is a small very clean rv park and can handle any size of RV. We have stayed there many times when our kids lived in Chandler. If they are full, another option, a little farther north off of I-17 at the 101 (north of Phx) is a park called Desert Shadows. Mostly park models, but have a couple of rows of RV parking. Not as convenient to Tempe, but is quite doable.

Check out Scottsdale RV Ranch, in Scottsdale. Remember, it's Arizona. Things fill up fast with snowbirds. If you want a spot close to the Fiesta Bowl, now would be the time to be making that reservation.

We just spent 2 months at Road runner Lake RV Resort.
It is mainly a Mobile home park. but nice amenities.

$687/mo for us, but rates might be going up because of the season.
Not far from fiesta bowl.

A possible option is one of the Maricopa County Regional Parks. Www.maricopacountyparks.net.
