Anyone ever stay here on December? Anyone able to reserve a site on row one, closest to the beach? They start taking reservations at 8 am on May 1, I started calling at 8 am and got through at 803. They just take your name and let you know later in they day what they have for you, I got row 3. Which is good but curious how you get on row one. I also submitted an online form at 8 am. They really don't tell you how how they assign sites.

It's my understanding that if you reserve for the next year when you check out they will accept it. The same folks have had the front row for years.

I've camped there several times and have only been able to be on the front row, about 3 times, and only for a day or two. You have to be a relative, or a "great friend" of one of the campers on the front row. Then you can get them to bequeath their spot to you when they pass on. No kidding! I spoke to one person on the front row and they said that they had the one spot for about 15 years, finally decided to stop RVing and gave the spot to a best friend. However, even the back row, is pretty good! you can see the beach/water and it is only a short walk out there. I've camped in some places that a bicycle or a car is required to get to the beach, when the ad says "beachfront"!
