Red Gate Farm RV Park - Savannah, GA

Just spent a few days camping here. It's a real nice park about 10 minutes from Savannah. The grounds are beautiful featuring a lake for fishing. However, the RV parking is at the front of the park right by Chatham Parkway and you can hear traffic noise most of the time along with a train that awakened us several times at night and in the very early morning. It's also quite pricey at $45.00 a night.

We stayed at Hardeeville RV park, just across the bridge in SC. Very quiet and a Passport America park. 10 miles to Savannah

We stayed a few weeks ago at Fort McAlister State park, about 20 miles from Savannah. Very easy drive to Savannah and very nice hosts. $28 per night but you can get a senior discount if you are 62. Really a nice park with deer in the early morning.

Hardeeville RV or known as Thomas RV park across the bridge a few miles from the riverfront. Great people, Passport America $20 a night. We stayed at Red Gate for a rally, road noise and no shade.

I found Hardeeville to be a trashy looking park and if I was going to Savannah it would be the absolute last choice for me.
