Redding, CA-Premier RV Resorts

We are visiting friends in Redding this June. Premier RV Resorts in the north part of town gets good reviews on campgroundreviews.com. But has anyone stayed there before? Especially in their big rig section?

It is a nice campground. Another good one is north in the town of Mountain Gate.

We've stayed there several times coming back from Oregon in our 40'er. Nice park and plenty of room. I've seen 45'ers in there and it didn't look like they had any problems maneuvering around. Lots of trees that could interfere with satellite reception if thats important to you.

There's also Durango RV Resort in Red Bluff, just south of Redding. If you have a toad with you it's fairly close.

We know about Durango but driving back and forth is a bit too much especially since we have dogs we leave when we visit our friends.

Stayed at Premier, Mountain Gate & Durango. Durango is the fanciest. (Excellent pizza place very close!) Not worth the difference to drive to Redding, and there is far more to do in Redding than Red Bluff. We prefer Premier because it is in town very close to where the in-laws are. Mountain Gate is prettier, however. At Premier, you want a pull-thru in the new section for a coach your size.

Nice park. Upper (new) area is a bit roomier. I would use caution with items left outside and vehicles unlocked.

Premier Redding

Here is a look at their campgrounds. A new area has been opened to accommodate larger rigs. The trees in that area are newer so it is not quite as pretty. All Premier locations are well maintained and well managed. We have used them quite a bit over the past ten years.

There is a nice stream running through this location.

It is a nice place, stay there all the time when up there. MaverickBBD is correct, I left my truck unlocked one night and they cleaned out my cab. There is a seedy apt complex across the street which I believe was where the culprits were from.
