Restaurants by Topsail Resort, Florida?
We are checking for a very casual (shorts, t-shirt, sandals) restaurant close to the Topsail RV Resort at Santa Rosa Beach. Plus's would be if it has an outside deck (water view), extra cold beer (must) and seafood if possible.
Any suggestions?

The Red Bar in Grayton Beach, not necessarily a great view but great food and cold beer. The smoked Tuna dip is so good we had it three times during the week we were there. Try Bud and Alleys in seaside, it has the view and beer, roof top deck on the beach, don't remember the food but the beer was great!

Not many restaurants close by Top Sail, best to head over to Destin there will be plenty eating places there.

Just google restaurants cr30A and you will find all the places you can eat at for a year. Or go to Bay Town Warf in Sandestin and there are another 15 great eating places.

I am at Topsail at the moment, site #125. There are several great places to eat near the park. Go out of the park, turn right on 30A less 1.8 miles on your left is Stinky's Fish Camp, good food great place. Red Bar near Graton Beach about 8.2 miles from the park, bring cash as they do not take credit cards. Smiling Fish Cafe, 37 Town Center Loop, on left about 3.5 miles from Topsail. Goatfeathers about 4 miles from the park on 30A, on the right side of the road. Go out on Hwy., 98 (mile and a half from Topsail), up on the left is Bayou Bill's Crab House, great food. Most of these do not have a water or ocean view but if you go in to Destin about 12 miles, try Harbor Docks, Dewey Destin's, Louisiana Lagniappe, and many more.
This will give you a start for places very close to the park. Go on up through Sea Side and you have Bud & Alleys, and several more places to choose.
I have owned a condo in Destin for 16 years and the last 3 years we pull our fifth wheel to Topsail and stay a week, we get to bring our dog that way. Our friends think we are crazy but we love Topsail and the Santa Rosa Beach area.

Goatfeathers is among our favorites in the area. For breakfast check out the Donut Hole Bakery Cafe just outside the park.

Second the donut hole but they only take cash no credit cards but never fear they have a ATM in the lobby. Great food!

Download the app "Yelp"...one of the best I've ever used! Ratings on just about everything, restaurants, stores, Doctors, etc, anywhere in the country! Rated by real people too. We used it on our last trip to Miramar Beach, soo helpful!

The Donut Hole will definintely be on our list to go to. One of our fondest memories was getting a dozen donuts and coffee and sitting on the beach in Destin (before there was a Sandestin) and watching the sun come up.
We hope to repeat this at Topsail if we can get to the Donut Hole and back to the beach before daylight. Is the road safe enough to walk from our slot to the beach in the dark?

Yes, it is safe to walk to the beach from the campground in the dark, just take a flash light, it is paved the entire way. From the tram stop to the beach is 1 mile, add about another 1/4 mile from the campground.
Here is a look at the beach at Topsail at 10:13 AM this morning.

If you venture west into Destin, Be sure to eat at Dewy Destins sea food restaurant. He has two locations. one is right on hwy 98 on the harbor, and the other is on Calhoun ave on the bay. I prefer the bay side, as you can eat out side and enjoy the salt air, birds and boats boats all kinds of boats. Did I mention the bikini show? well you might see some if you look.

I'll second these from personal experience. The Donut Hole is OK for breakfast and of course if you hit it when they have fresh donuts. Not impressed with lunches. PF Chang's up by Publix is kinda hit and miss. One time it absolutely great, the next time you wonder how they keep the doors open. If you feel lucky .....

What are the hours for the Donut Hole? I read somewhere they are open 24 hours at certain times of the year. If so how early do they make the Donut's?
