Return trip through Georgia and the Carolinas

Sadly, we'll be starting to wander home (NH) in another 1 1/2 weeks. I am beginning to look for things to see and do on the way home. We rushed right through on our way south but plan to wander a bit on the way home. We'll probably take 95 up through Richmond VA where we'll visit friends for a bit. Looking for ideas on what to see or where to stay along 95. We're all set from Richmond north so it's just the southern part of this route. We like history and the outdoors. We're towing a 30 ft travel trailer so don' need huge sites.

Unless you have a job in NH why would you want to leave Florida for snow and blizzards?

Bago40. I ask myself that same question but we hear that the skiing is great this year and besides, we own a campground and need to start getting ready for the season. Vacation's over.
