My uncle stayed here in the Fall of 2013. He said the park was super nice, fenced with security. He felt very safe. I've been to New Orleans four times staying in the local hotels - take a cab or shuttle. Better be safe than sorry.

There's another park near the French Qt with water views and a shuttle service. The price is lower and the pics look nice.

Which other park "near the French Qt" are you talking about??

A web search for "another park near the French Qt" yields the following:

1.) French Quarter RV resort, (2.27 Miles from the French Quarter itself).
2.) Mardi Gras RV Park and Motel, (5.65 miles)
3.) Pontchartrain Landing RV Park, (5.75miles)
4.) Riverboat RVpark, (5.83 miles),
5.) Jude Travel Park, (6.67miles).

I will be staying at fqrv got a reservation there already a friend got it for me since they will be staying with me in my rv for the first leg of my trip witch works out for them they are moving from harrisburg pa to Ocala fl so I will be dropping them there in Ocala so I was just scared with things I heard about the area and wanted to hear from fellow Rvers that were there , I have a portable satellite dish that I plan on placing on the roof of the motor home and I also have bikes on the back of the jeep, the bikes will be locked onto the jeep so not to scared of them dissapering( they will have to remove the hitch to get the bikes and also the spare tire of jeep) just concerned about possable break in I guess, I will be in the overflow lot of fqrv for 3-4 days unless there is a opening inside the park, and will be in the park for 4 days

I'm sorry, having been to Nawlin's many times...
I would be cautious anywhere in that city...
That's why we are going to Lake End Park in Morgan City for Mardi Gras

What does it tell you that they NEED a 10' wall around the park and a police station across the street ?!?

Have you heard the adage
"Police are just minutes away when seconds count!" ???
